Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The room I received had a sitting area that was sparsely decorated, with a bedroom separated by a sliding door. Although I expected a view of the Malecon and Managua Lake, I was disappointed to find the suite seedy, with a filthy carpet and a view of razor wire possibly to keep the property secure from local residents. I even had an unwelcome visitor knocking at my door, which was unsettling.
The hotel had a nice mountain view from my room, and the front desk and restaurant staff were pleasant and helpful. However, the room was smallish and the decor a bit dated. The service was generally good, with attentive staff at Continentes Maria Conchita, Nereida, and the guys, offering a varied breakfast buffet daily. On the downside, some front desk staff seemed cool and unsmiling. The location was good, quiet, and boasted a large outdoor stage, but unfortunately under construction with the bar area closed during my stay. Dining was delicious and well presented, offering a mix of American breakfast and Nicaraguan specialties. Facilities were worth noting.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were located on the second floor, offering a view of the rooftop canopy at the front of the hotel. The suite I paid for turned out to be disappointing with filthy carpet and a view of razor wire, possibly for security. However, the staff was friendly and helpful despite occasional language barriers, especially appreciated during the scorching temperatures. The location was convenient, a short walk from the old city center and close to Plaza Inter mall. Sadly, the dining experience was far from perfect with dishes at the buffet often empty while the facilities were decent.
